Rare catalogue of the Rijeka biennial festival for young artists, with 67 contributions by Yugoslav artists, the most prominent of 25 year old Marina Abramović.
Content: The exposition series for young artists „Biennale Mladih“ took place in Yugoslav Rijeka (nowadays Croatia) from 1960 to 1991 and experienced a total of 16 editions. Present catalogue for the 6th edition covers works by and short biographies (in Serbo-Croatian language) of 67 authors, Marina's oil painting »Prostor« (»Space«, 150x150 cm) being the first mentioned. In this period the artist was about to finish her post-graduate studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb.
All entries with b/w photo reproduction of the work in question, as well as it's title, size and the techniques used by the artist.
Condition: Rear side of wrappers minimally worn, otherwise very well preserved copy indeed.
Rarity: WorldCat records 1 copy only in institutional holdings outside former Yugoslavia, at the Stedelijk (Amsterdam).
