Folio (32:25,5 cm). 24 unnumbered leaves of thick machine laid paper, where of 4 with maps and 12 with double-paged calligraphy, bound in contemporary blueish grey calico with multicolour marbled end papers; with transparent dust wrapper.
Carefully calligraphed and skilfully illustrated student's manuscript atlas depicting and describing the Americas.
Content: Drawn and written in French by a certain Marie de Argandonã in 1894, a probably 14 year pupil, the present atlas contains maps of the world, Northern and Middle America (physical and political), as well as South America, all of which skilfully drawn with colour pencil and lead pencil in correct detail and varied colours.
Additionally the atlas contains comprehensive geographical, historical, political and economical information, about the Americas in general and the United States, Mexico, the Antilles and Bolivia in particular, all of which carefully calligraphed with black ink. All pages are framed.
Condition: Cover at corners slightly bumped, covers partly worn and bleached, some minor finger stains, otherwise very well preserved unique item.
