First German edition of Machar’s travel accounts with sociocritical note, published in Prague with an extraordinary cloth cover of shining, intensive blue and gilt coinage, showing typical secessionist typography and framing, as well as with a particularly strong typografical design of the title page by Frantisek Kupka, one of the most famous Czech painters of the 20th century.
