Lot of 6 vintage silver-prints containing 4 portraitures and 2 group pictures of a small girl, one Austrian women (Paula Müller) and a couple (Paula and Ludwig), partly posing with Japanese Geishas. The photographs were taken between 1928 and 1932 by the by photographers G. A. Belkin, H. Fujinaga and The Photo Specialists Co. based in Shenyang under Japanese occupation.
The lot in detail:
1-2. group picture of „Ludwig“, „Paula“ and two more European women with 7 geishas and 10 European men at dinner in a Shenyang geisha house, 20:27 cm, mounted on card-board of „H. Fujinaga“ with printed photographers’s emblem and inserted in photographer’s map with embossed emblem. The 2nd copy of the photo bears Ludwig’s note with ink: „Zur Erinnerung an ein japanisches Diner in einem Gaishahaus in Mukden 1928“. [In rememberance of a Japanese Diner in a Geisha House in Mukden 1928].
3. portraiture of a small girl, 10:13 cm, blind-stamped with emblem of „The Photo Specialists Co.“ and inserted in photographer’s map.
4. portraiture of Paula Müller, 10:15 cm, mounted on card-board of „G. A. Belkin“ with printed photographers’s emblem and inserted in photographer’s map with embossed emblem, as well as with dedication by Müller to „Familie Guseck“ dated 2nd June 1932.
