Profusely illustrated and scarce brochure of the famous Soviet-Russian Automobile plant »ZiL«.

Company, Contents: The plant started to build vehicles in 1924 and was therefore the first manufacturer of automobiles, trucks, military vehicles, and heavy equipment of the USSR. In 1956 the Combine was renamed after the deceased Ivan Likhachev, a prominent figure in the CPSU and the plant's first director. The enterprise ceased production in 2012.

Present booklet depicts in great detail and neatly arranged ZiL's vehicle range in the late 1950s: the 110 limousines and cabriolets, the trucks 150, 151 and 157, the busses 127, 155 and 158 as well as a roadster, fridges and heavy machinery, that were also manufactured in the plant. Also depicted are assembly and production lines (partly automatic), test sites, laboratories etc. The brochure also delivers insights into offices (e.g. the design department) and furthermore the company's medical, educational and recreational facilities and social activities.

Condition: Dust jacket slightly finger-stained, otherwise fine.
