Beautiful pocket Quran, published by the renown Cairo editor Muṣṭafá al-Bābī al-Ḥalabī, this edition printed in green, red and black with ornamental frames on thin white quality paper and bound in leather with mother of pearls application.

Binding: The elaborate binding of this lovely item consists of fully marbled light brown morocco over cardboards, on which two plates with impressive mother-of-pearl mosaics are applied, each of them contain over 100 figurative and ornamental, partly multicolour inlays arranged in a symmetrical pattern around stylised buildings of the Cairo Al-Azhar Mosque.

Condition: Spine minimally rubbed, front hinge partly cracked, otherwise very well preserved copy of this hard to find, highly representative yet handy Quran.
